Tony Haynes

Tony Haynes, born August 5, 1960, is a poet, lyricist, music publisher, author and music producer.

Haynes' first recorded song was “Send A Little Love” recorded by the Spinners and released in December 1981. His second recording, “Sayonara” was recorded by A Taste of Honey and released in 1982. Haynes received his first gold record for the Powerlight album recorded by Earth, Wind & Fire and released in 1983. Since that time, as a lyricist, songwriter and music publisher, his songs have been recorded on over two hundred albums. He has written songs with Maurice White & David Foster (“My Sweet Delight” for Jennifer Holiday), Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (“Walking The Dog” for Karyn White), Teddy Riley (“Get Away” #1 R & B single for Bobby Brown), “She’s on the Left,” the number one R & B single for Jeffrey Osborne with Jeffrey, Spud Blanson & Robert Brookins),“Hyperactive” for Robert Palmer with Dennis Nelson & Robert Palmer and many other songs.
